Angry fans launch petition to change 50 Shades of Grey movie
THE PRODUCERS OF the upcoming film adaptation of the cult novel 50 Shades of Grey have been forced to defend their casting decision after a huge backlash from fans online.
A change.org petition has already been set up by fans adamant that actor Matt Bomer should play the billionaire Christian Grey who entices innocent college graduate Anastasia Steele into a dominant-submissive relationship. Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel is the fan favourite for the naive student.
Instead, the roles went to Pacific Rim actor Charlie Hunnam and relative newcomer, Dakota Johnson.

However, despite approaching 20,000 signatures, producer Dana Brunetti stands by the choice. He took to Twitter to address the uproar, saying that a lot of thought went into picking the perfect cast.

Even Johnson’s mother, Melanie Griffith took on some of the haters. She proudly tweeted
