AARON JOSEPH PURMORT died of brain cancer on November 25th. He was 35.

Before he died, however, the Minneapolis native wrote his own deeply funny and touching obituary in which he detailed his “years of crime-fighting” and his battle with “a nefarious criminal named Cancer”.

He also claims to have been married to Gwen Stefani, something his wife humorously addressed in this tweet.

The obituary was published in The Star Tribune and his wife Nora shared it on her blog My Husband’s Tumor, which detailed Purmort’s battle with cancer.

Before purmort died, we had time to sit down and write his obituary. I’ve never laughed and cried more in one sitting, but I’m so glad we got to do this. I love this man so damn much.

Needless to say, you may need a tissue.

Prior to his passing, the couple launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise money to help support Purmort’s son Ralph. Its current total stands at $104,000 with 25 days to go.
