IN AN EXPLETIVE-laced stream of invective, FM 104 phone-in DJ Adrian Kennedy last night told one of his listeners to “F*** off”.

Why? Well, It can’t be easy being Adrian Kennedy, and dealing with a succession of the nation’s oddest opinions late every night. So perhaps it just got to him.

Here’s how it played out: during a discussion about the appropriateness (or otherwise) of swearing, Adrian was contacted by a woman named Breda.

Breda was incensed about an incident where somebody used “a profanity” in public, and she felt obliged to tell them what she thought of their language.

Adrian, however, was not impressed.

If you said what you said, and you said it to me, you’d get more [bleep bleep] from me.

Breda, in turn, was incensed. She promised to complain to FM 104, which Kennedy invited her to do before continuing:

Breda, get this through your thick skull. I never f***ing cursed at you once.

I have more respect for you than to f***ing curse at you.

F*** off.

Breda said: “You are despicable”, and hung up.

We wouldn’t  say he’s going to be in too much trouble with his producers:

Um… what did Vincent Browne say on TV last night?>
