#AfterSexSelfies are officially a thing and they are awful

Please make it stop.

HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE are taking selfies after having sex and posting them on an Instagram hashtag.

The hashtags #aftersex and #aftersexselfie have taken off on social media, as satisfied couples (and other combinations of people) post photos of their post-coital faces.

We've blurred these people's faces out because it doesn't seem fair otherwise.

And it’s all happened since the weekend.

Most of the action is on Instagram, but it’s spreading to other sites too. Here’s a graph of the frequency of “#aftersex” on Twitter since last week:

Topsy Topsy

And there’s now an After Sex Selfies Facebook page, which has more than 40,000 likes.

Basically, it’s the most horrific trend since #SockOnAC**k. And at least that was for charity.

Luckily, at least SOME people have a sense of humour about it.
