A new series of Britain’s Next Top Model begins next month – and believe it or not, Co Kildare gets a look in.

Naas native Alannah Beirne, a 23-year-old visual merchandising graduate, is the only Irish contestant on the show this year. And girl is stunning:

Speaking to the Leinster Leader, she said she applied after seeing an ad for the show on TV, then got the call to move in to the BNTM house:

It is an intense time and emotionally draining living in a house with 12 other girls. There was bitchiness but that is bound to happen. I’m sure I came across fine.

Beirne says she’s always had a “massive interest” in modelling (her mam is a former Rose of Tralee), and told the Irish Independent that she’d like to combine it with her passion for health and fitness.

“I might go down the route of Sports Illustrated and promoting health. Swimwear and lingerie,” she said.

The show is already in the can, so all she can do now is wait and see how it all plays out. Fingers crossed for you, Alannah!

You can catch her on Britain’s Next Top Model on Lifetime from March 16.
