Alec Baldwin returned to SNL with a brilliant takedown of Bill O'Reilly
SNL SNL
AFTER A THREE week break, Saturday Night Live returned last night with Louis CK at the helm.
Everyone was waiting to see if Alec Baldwin would appear with his now legendary Donald Trump impression given the tumultuous few weeks in US politics.
He appeared alright, but Baldwin was also playing controversial Fox News host Bill O’Reilly – who has had ads pulled this week following sexual harassment claims
The move came after a report in The New York Times last weekend that O’Reilly and his employer paid five women $13 million to settle harassment or other allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fox’s star.
Baldwin went all in on the scandal.
The segment started off with just O’Reilly welcoming you to his show

“As you know, 60 of our sponsors have pulled their ads from the programme. No word as to why yet.”

Just when you thought this was going to be an O’Reilly-only sketch, the split screen came up and Baldwin’s Trump joined the show.
It was two Baldwin impressions for the price of one

They moved on to the topic of Trump’s defence of O’Reilly, calling him a “good person.”
“I’m more familiar with this case than, say, healthcare”
SNL SNL
“Thank you for stopping by the Factor, and keep up the good work”
SNL SNL
“Wait, is that a joke? A lot of people have been saying ‘keep up the good work’ but then I found that it was a joke.”
SNL SNL
And -scene-.
It was up there with a behind-the-scenes look at that Pepsi ad as the most talked about sketch of the night
They have plenty of material to be working with these days.
