Some men are really angry about the all-female Ghostbusters remake

Chill out, lads.

LAST NIGHT, DIRECTOR Paul Feig announced the cast for the forthcoming Ghostbusters remake.

The reboot will see Feig reteam with Bridesmaids stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, as well as Saturday Night Live cast members Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

Feig further confirmed that the film will be released in July 2016.

The reaction to the news has been overwhelmingly positive.

But a number of people (read: mostly men) have taken to Twitter to express their disgust at the prospect of an all-female Ghostbusters.

These guys worried the remake would “ruin” the classic.

There was a lot of sexism

And the tiresome adage that women aren’t funny was wheeled out again

*yawn*

And this guy clearly didn’t realise that he was describing the show Entourage

THANKS A LOT, FEMINISM

Others had kind words for director Paul Feig.

While this is a thing that some poor person actually spent time making

Fortunately, this person had these wise words to share
