Made by documentary director Lauren Greenfield, the ad challenges young women, a man and a boy to demonstrate what they think the phrases ‘run like a girl’, ‘fight like a girl’ and ‘throw like a girl’ mean.
Then it asks young girls the same questions, with heartening results:
The director also asks the participants to think about and articulate what the phrase ‘like a girl’ means to them.
