A MEMORIAL STATUE to the late singer Amy Winehouse has been unveiled in London.
Winehouse was found dead from alcohol poisoning in her London home in 2011. She was 27 years of age.
The life-size bronze statue is located in Stables Market, Camden, an area her father Mitch Winehouse said she was “in love with”.
Created by sculptor Scott Eaton, the tribute features the Back To Black singer with her signature beehive hairdo.
Today, 14 September, would have been Amy’s 31st birthday.
Here is the moment her mother, Janis, and father Mitch unveiled the statue to hundreds of fans:

In the years after her death, the singer’s family set up the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which helps disadvantaged young people.
