This London apartment makes the Dublin rental scene look like good value

The internet has beautifully dubbed it a “mattress with walls.”

WE KNOW THAT the Dublin rental market isn’t exactly in the best shape value-wise these days, but nothing we’ve seen here has quite raised the ire of the internet like this apartment spotted in London today.

At just €985 a month, this studio flat advertised on RightMove will make you weep.

Described on Reddit as a “mattress with walls”, there is nobody out there who has anything positive to say about this, eh, interesting rental opportunity.

To be fair to the gaff, it has been reduced to its current price of £700 and is said to be “fully furnished.”

The main question, surely, is: do you get to keep the TV? And what about the mattress? It’s still being advertised on the property website RightMove - despite attracting national news coverage across the water today - so the owner might still be holding out for a tenant.

Good luck to whoever gets it.
