A Cork couple met their baby grandson in the loveliest surprise homecoming

Things got emotional.

CORKMAN JOHN O’REGAN has been living in Australia for the past ten years – he and his fiancée Claire planned a surprise homecoming so John’s parents could meet their 11-week-old son, Niall, for the first time.

First, John’s siblings settled their parents down with what appeared to be a slideshow of adorable pictures of Niall. Then, the slideshow switched to a video of the family leaving Australia…

And a picture of them planting Niall’s feet in Irish soil (contained in an empty USA biscuit tin)…

When the slideshow ended, the family arrived in the door of John’s parents’ house in Cork – but not before Mammy was up twitching the curtains:

Shout out to grandad trying not to cry while holding his grandson for the first time. :’)

But not before pronouncing: “Oh dear, this is an awful SHOCK!”
