LAST NIGHT, THE results of Australia’s postal survey on same-sex marriage came in, with over 7 million people – 61% – voting in favour of Yes.
The overwhelming success of the vote has led to Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull saying that it was “absolutely my goal” to get the same-sex marriage bill through parliament by Christmas.
There were joyous scenes across Australia overnight.
