Bank of Ireland is finally doing away with those Rachel and Steve ads
PEOPLE OF IRELAND, we have some good news. Some very good news, in fact.

Today, Bank of Ireland launched a new mortgage ad campaign and said goodbye to Rachel and Steve. Steve and Rachel. Rachel and Steve.
Rachel and Steve, who drove people round the bend. Steve and Rachel, who made viewers want to throw their tellies out the window.

In a statement about the move, the bank said:
We presume this is code for “We’re sorry about those two. PLEASE stop hating us”. They also offered up this clue as to where Rachel and Steve may be heading:
Brandon Laufenberg / Bank of Ireland Brandon Laufenberg / Bank of Ireland / Bank of Ireland
There is ONE sad thing about this though, and it’s that we won’t see this guy on our screens any more.
