NEWS CAME THROUGH over the weekend that legendary actor Adam West had passed away at the age of 88.
Tributes for star of Batman flowed in, and immediately the city of LA started making their own special plans to remember him.
They decided to beam a huge bat signal on to City Hall last night – and it looked spectacular
Which could be seen from far and wide across LA
The perfect tribute, really, to the man who brought Batman to life for so many people
A huge crowd showed up in downtown LA on Thursday night
And they all stayed late to see the moment the bat signal was beamed

Various incarnations of Batman were there for this brilliant moment
The bat signal still works, then. The Gotham City PD need your services.
All in all, it was deemed as an appropriate and lovely tribute to the man
But there is one important question
We have so many more questions, like:
- Can you lads bring this out on a regular basis?
It was a pitch perfect way for a city to pay tribute
*applause*
