You can buy battered Oreos in this one Dublin chipper

A new frontier.

WE ALREADY KNOW that battered Mars bars have made their way into a select few Irish chippers at this stage.

And now we have the next logicial step – the battered Oreo:

Spotted a couple of months back by Twitter user @WenoDempsey, the creation comes from B Borza in Ballyfermot.

DailyEdge.ie contacted the chipper and a representative confirmed that the recent addition to the menu is doing very well:

They’re a good enough seller yeah. It’s only in the last couple of months that we’ve started doing them.

They decided to take battered Mars bars to the next level because of the ever growing popularity of the Oreo in Ireland – proved by last week’s news that it was the fourth most popular biscuit treat in the land.

The battered Oreo was spotted again last night by Spin 103.8 and it’s brought even more attention to the intriguing delicacy

Two for €1. Not bad at all. But what are they like?
