An Irishman's joke BBC breaking news ticker has become a huge meme
PEOPLE ARE NOW, understandably, calling their phones “the fresh horror device” – because every time you unlock it there’s another nugget of nightmarish news awaiting you.
And the same goes for breaking news tickers these days.
So Irish Twitter user @emmetbroaders came up with a new universal breaking news banner for all 2017 occasions

And other accounts took it and it went even more viral
