BBC NEWSREADER CAROL Walker thought she had a couple of spare seconds this morning to root in her handbag and give the hair a brush.
She didn’t though and while she was tending to her locks the camera was already live and already on her, zooming in her direction the way those BBC cameras tend to do.
She styled it out though. Handbag on the table, hair freshly bouffant, she launched into the headlines, like the pro that she is.
As calm and collected as she is, we imagine the feeling in her stomach was much like that kick of death you get when you send a text to the person the text was about, or that millisecond before you think you’re about to fall and smash your teeth off the ground.
And yet, she pulls it off with sass and style. Carol, you’re our hero.
