A “source” told E! News yesterday that The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – was always a bit smitten with Selena:

Abel though always had a thing for Selena. He thinks she is extremely talented and sexy.

They recently started talking before the holidays but she has been on his radar before. They are on the same level with expectations and think the other is really fun. They are taking things slow and getting to know each other.

Within hours of TMZ sharing the pictures of them last night – essentially breaking their relationship to the world – Bella had unfollowed Selena on Instagram.

US Magazine is reporting today that the rapper has just bought her a $100k necklace.
