IF THERE’S ONE thing we should be thanking the Paleo diet for, it’s bringing sweet potato fries into almost every restaurant in Dublin.

But not all sweet potato fries are created equal. Here are 7 places getting it right.

Aussie BBQ, Richmond Street

The Aussie BBQ does some of the heftiest burgers in town, but don’t let them distract you from the more modest sweet potato fries. Delish.

The Counter, Suffolk Street

You can almost taste the crispiness off that picture, right? Pair them with the onion strings and a dip (we recommend the smoky chipotle aoili) for maximum enjoyment.

Taco Taco, Dame Court

Taco Taco’s poutine fries are the big draw, but you should be paying attention to these babies, which are covered in a tangy mixture of sumac, pomegranate, and chilli.

Not your usual, but delicious.

Herbstreet, Grand Canal Dock

Look at the SIZE of them. And with sides of chipotle sauce and avocado salsa? Yes please.

Eddie Rockets, everywhere

Eddie’s was one of the early adopters of sweet potato fries, and some people now even prefer them to the bacon cheese chips. We KNOW.

So when you’ve finished off your massive burger and milkshake, at least you can say one part of your meal was at least somewhat good for you. Maybe.

Yamamori Izakaya, George’s Street

Not where you’d expect to find sweet potato fries, is it? But this Japanese tapas place does some mean sweet potato fries, which for some reviewers have achieved ‘Greatest of All Time’ status. Good enough for us.

Jo’Burger, Rathmines/Smithfield/Castle Market

These aren’t so much sweet potato fries, but delicious chunks of sweet potato goodness. Get some of their delicious mayos (sataymayo, anyone?) and go. To. TOWN.

Starving now? Yep. Us too. *drools*
