Comedian Bill Burr slagged off rashers on his podcast after a visit to Dublin

Ouch.

COMEDIAN BILL BURR performed in Ireland at the Vodafone Comedy festival and gave us a rather large shout out on his podcast.

He spoke about his bemusement about playing in a tent, and getting pissed on Jameson.

The most concerning thing, however, was his opinion of rashers:

I f*cking hate bacon around the world. The best bacon in the world is in the United States of America. That is bacon. This Canadian* bacon, these slabs of f*cking ham. Whatever we have in America, it’s f*cking delicious. I don’t know what you guys call it, do you call it something else? If anyone can tell me what it’s called? Can I get that bacon and not these slabs of f*cking ham. It’s the little things you miss when you travel.

Canadian Bacon is a catch-all term Americans use for medallion-style bacon, which is frankly an insult to our humble rasher*

He also spoke of how absolutely nothing is open in Ireland on a Sunday morning:

So I woke up on a Sunday morning in Dublin. I decided I was gonna walk around. What the f*ck, are these people all at home? None of these places are open.

He had some valid points to make though.

You know where that f*cking horrific place is, Temple Bar? Every jerk off American says you gotta go down there, and everything is f*cking overpriced. I walked over to their park, for like three and a half hours just checking out this beautiful city.

It’s not the first time Burr has spoken about us on his podcast, he previously spoke of the ‘miserable Irish’.

Oh, love you too Bill.
