NESTLED IN THE foothills of the Dublin mountains – not far from Sandyford – is an old school pub with a gem of a beer garden.
And it’s called The Blue Light.
It’s best known feature is its spectacular views of Dublincity from its outside area
Which makes it the perfect pub for a drink on a rare summer’s day
Because the crowd gathers when there’s even a hint of sun
It’s absolutely worth the trip up the winding road to get there
And when dusk falls on a warm evening, it just gets better
And one enthusiastic Trip Advisor review agrees with the sentiment:
Stopped in here for a pint the other night and honestly I have never seen Dublin look so amazing. Having lived in Dublin my whole life I have seen it all but my breath was actually taken when I walked out to see it in its glistening glory at night from this great little pub!
It’s an absolute gem of a spot
And on a sunny day, it would make you thirsty thinking about it
Where else would you get it?
