Boyzone's Shane Lynch and RuPaul's Drag Race star Courtney Act are set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house

THIS YEAR’S CELEBRITY Big Brother follows the formula of every other year, only this time the theme was Celebrity Big Brother: Year of The Woman.
Why? To celebrate 100 years since women in the UK got the right to vote. If the suffragettes were alive today, they would probably be like “What the hell? What has that got to do with Big Brother?”, but loads of them were probably racist, so we can get over that.
So much for ‘Year of The Woman’ anyway. More like ‘Three Days of The Woman’, because producers announced that footballer John Barnes would be joining the Big Brother women on Friday.

It really doesn’t make any difference, because it wasn’t exactly a powerful political statement to put an anti-same sex marriage politician (Ann Widdecombe) in a house to live with a transgender woman (newsreader India Willoughby).
It’s Celebrity Big Brother. It has never done anything to *actually* celebrate women, and it never will. Tiffany Pollard didn’t even win despite the fact that she was incredibly entertaining. Case in point.

On top of John Barnes, it has also been announced that Boyzone star Shane Lynch will be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Shane’s not the only new addition to the CBB house, as Metro.co.uk report that drag queen Courtney Act will also be joining the housemates this Friday night.
Sources close to Courtney say she won’t be fazed by anything she sees in the CBB house. Probably true, as she’s been on reality TV for a long time. Act started her career on Australian Idol and was a runner up in season six of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
If you haven’t been keeping up with CBB, the housemates already in the CBB house are Khloe Kardashian’s best mate Malika Haqq, Tory MP Ann Widdecombe, Boris Johnson’s sister Rachel, DJ Ashley James, newsreader India Willoughby, actress Maggie Oliver, model Jess Impiazzi and actress Amanda Barrie.
Go on. Ask “are they supposed to be celebs?” before you burst a blood vessel from holding it in.
