Brax wins a popularity award
HE’S NOT JUST popular in Ireland it seems.
Steve Peacocke, AKA Brax from Home and Away, has been named Australia’s most popular television actor at the Logie Awards for the second time.
But that didn’t stop presenter Adam Hills (of The Last Leg fame) from quipping, “To be honest, not entirely sure who his is” while reading out the nominee list.
But our Brax was able for him. On accepting the award, he thanked his agent for getting him the job when he was “unloading freight trucks”.
“That’s probably why you didn’t know me.”
There will be thousands of disappointed Irish wimmin out there today though as pictures of a happy Steve with his long-term girlfriend Bridgette Sneddon do the rounds. She’s lovely too.
Meanwhile, fellow Summer Bay-er Luke Mitchell is getting ready to judge the ‘Most Appropriately Dressed Lady’ at the inaugural Kilkenny Senior Hurlers Family Race Day on Tuesday. You win some, you lose some, we guess Romeo.
