Fancy sliding down Bray Head on a 90-metre slip 'n slide? Now you can
THINK OF YOURSELF as a bit of a dare devil?
This summer you prove that you are by sliding down the side of Bray Head on a li-lo on a slippy slide.
As part of this year’s Bray Summer Fest, a 90-metre slip n’ slide will run down the side of the seaside slope.
So, how will it work? The organisers said that people will use inflatable mattresses to glide down the slide at anticipated 25 kilometres per hour. Water will be free flowing from the top, and fear not, there will be bumper-like barricades on either side to stop you from flying off the slide.
Here’s an idea of what it will be like:

Registration to take the plunge is open now but will close at 5pm Sunday 6 July.
However, there has been huge demand for the event, with hundreds registering for the event, which is limited to just 700 people.
The lucky few will be picked at random from the list of registered people.
Several allocated timeslots will occur over Saturday 12 July and Sunday 13 July including groups of ages from as young as five.
Organisers said this is so the slide can be experienced by all, “from the very young to the young at heart”.
Entry is free on a registration basis.
