Breaking Bad fan who won competition to meet the cast arrested on drug charges
WELL THIS IS a bit awkward. A man who won a competition last year to watch the Breaking Bad finale with the cast has been arrested on several drug charges.
28-year-old Ryan Lee Carroll from Florida won the opportunity to watch the series finale at a private viewing with the cast back in September.
Well it seems that he got the lines of fiction and reality slightly blurred, with Lee County Sheriff’s Office charging him with various offences on New Year’s Eve. Carroll’s charges are possession of a synthetic narcotic, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and keeping a shop of vehicle for dangerous drugs.
WPTV reports that he was found to be running an interstate sunthetic marijuana distribution operation after an investigation on his San Carlos Park home. Over 700 pounds and $1 million worth of the synthetic ‘spice’ was seized.
At the time of winning the competition, Carroll told a local radio station that the show was “highly addicting, just like the meth they make.”
His souvenir Hazmat suit signed by the cast was also seized in the raid.
