BRIAN MCFADDEN HAS been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding.
The former Westlife star, 38, was spotted doing 39mph in 30mph zone in Nottingham.
He admitted breaking the speed limit and was disqualified because it was his fourth speeding offence in three years.
The singer was fined £450 (€500), according to Manchester Evening News.
He asked Nottingham magistrates to give him a shorter ban, saying it would hamper him getting to October gigs with Boyzlife, a band he set up with ex-Boyzone star Keith Duffy.
Thomas Edwards, prosecuting, suggested that Keith could drive both of them to Boyzlife concerts.
Taking to Twitter to express his grievances, he tweeted:
Just left court in Nottingham. I was Clocked doing 39 in a 30 zone. 6 months suspension and £450 fine. Drink driver crashed his car he got 12 months and an £85 fine. As far as driving to my gigs the prosecution suggested I tweet my followers for a lift! Joke.”
A follower attempted to outline why speed limits are there, and explain the difference between being hit by 30mph and 40mph.
To which he replied …
Then I’ll make sure I’m doing 50 so I definitely won’t have to listen to this.”
Eh, ok. Very normal response there.
