Iggy Azalea tried to blame Britney Spears for their song flopping, but Brit isn't having it

Bad move.

BRITNEY SPEARS AND Iggy Azalea’s much-hyped duet, Pretty Girls, was roundly panned on its release earlier this year.

The song peaked at number 29 in the US, and failed to set charts alight over here either.

But when asked about the song “flopping a bit” on Twitter, Azalea said that as a “featured” artist, she had little control over the promotion of the song.

When other fans and music blogs questioned if Azalea was trying to lay the blame for the song’s failure on Britney Spears, she went in:

Oof. Britney responded last night with this seemingly innocent tweet about her Las Vegas residency:

Is this a subtle dig at to Azalea’s tour, which was cancelled in May after rumours of poor ticket sales? Everyone seems to think so:
