This Cork man's Brunch ice cream complaint struck a chord on Facebook

Bring back Brunch.

LET’S ALL BE honest with ourselves. Brunches aren’t what they used to be.

It’s mainly down to the lack of crumb coating, in comparison to years past.

Corkman Darryl Connell took to Facebook on Monday to complain about a particularly poor coverage he received on a recent Brunchy goodness.

I am a loyal customer of your delicious ice creams, My personal favourite being the brunch. In recent times I have noticed that there has been a severe reduction on the sprinkles applied to this delicious treat in which I have enjoyed for many years.
This evening I opened one of these brunches after a long day working on the farm pulling beet (which isn’t as easy as it may sound). I was shocked to say the least when I noticed how little sprinkles there was upon my highly anticipated brunch. This isn’t the first time in which my hopes were dashed because of lack of sprinkles on your brunch’s and I feel cheated for being sold these imposters of ice creams…
Attached is a photo of the said brunch… I hope that I won’t ever encounter such an experience again, so please add more sprinkles in the future. Thanks, an honest young fella trying to enjoy a Brunch…

HB were quick to get back to the post, which clearly hit a nerve, with almost 10,000 likes.

Darryl sad to say I had suffered a similar injustice. Where will the madness end?

Where will it end, indeed?

We’re still getting a brunch at lunchtime, mind.
