WE’VE SEEN A LOT of weird trends come and go over the last few years, but none have sparked in us a more visceral reaction than bubble nails.
Just look at them. The state of them.
Bubble nails (or ‘hump nails’, as they’re sometimes called) are achieved by “building and sculpting” regular acrylic nails to create a curved shape.
According to Nails Magazine, what you’re looking for is a “nice smooth hill” with a “perfect” curve – the client can decide just how bubbly they want them to be.

You just shivered with terror. Admit it, you did.
The trend first emerged in 2009, but seems to be making a comeback now, much to nail art lovers’ dismay.
Personally, we think it looks like globs of chewing gum got stuck to the ends of their fingers. But that’s just our opinion.
If they don’t make you feel like puking, by all means, go right ahead…
