9 food combinations that only make sense in Ireland

Mmmmm butter and rich tea, the Irish oreo.

OH AREN’T WE special snowflakes. Who else could come up with these combos.

1. Rich tea and butter

This utter indulgence of it all. Two fresh Marietta, Digestives, or Rich Teas, and a slathering of Kerrygold washed down with a cup of Barry’s. Bliss.

2. Curry, cheese, and chips

No one does it quite like us. This combination absolutely shouldn’t work, but some how… it does.

3. Crisps and chocolate

Anyone who has yet to discover this joy needs their head checked.

4. Sugar and bread

The bowldest of all childhood treats. Butter, sugar, and bread. Bizarre.

5. Butter and mash

6. Chips AND rice

But why can’t you just have rice and curry?

7. Potato with more potato

You can’t just have one type of potato on your plate, are you mad? Mash, roasters, croquettes,chips,  give us em all.

 

8. Swiss roll and custard

Oh, the most comforting of all tea-time treats from granny.

9. Batter and a burger

Who woke up and said, hey, this burger needs to be battered? Someone Irish, of course.
