Cadbury's new chocolate bar looks very like the dearly departed Top Deck
CADBURY TOP DECK bars may be out of Irish shops, but they never left our minds.
The perfect marriage of white and milk chocolate, Cadbury Ireland discontinued the bar sometime in the 2000s, although it’s still on sale in New Zealand and South Africa.
A Facebook page dedicated to bringing the bar back amassed 1,800 followers before going dark sometime in 2012, with no sign of Cadbury meeting their demands.
It looked like the Top Deck would be closed off to Ireland for the foreseeable future, unless you imported it in from New Zealand via Candyland.ie for a cool €9.

But earlier this week, Cadbury sneakily introduced a bar very similar to our the one we thought we’d lost forever.
Its new £3 Big Taste bars are giant 300g confections (to put that in perspective, a normal bar is 45g) in three different flavours.
There’s Oreo crunch:

And Toffee Whole Nut:

The most exciting for Top Deck fans, though? The Triple Choc Sensation, which features three layers of milk, white and ‘dark milk’ chocolate.

It’s not perfect, but it’s something. #BringBackTopDeck (and Dream bars too, while you’re at it).
