In April, Jenner told the world that she was transgender in an interview with Diane Sawyer, saying at 65, she would be “so mad if I didn’t explore this side of my life”.

Now Caitlyn Jenner is a cover star, photographed in her Malibu home by Annie Leibovitz.

She told journalist Buzz Bissinger:

If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, “You just blew your entire life.”

“It’s not about fanfare, it’s not about cheering in the stadium, it’s not about me going in the street and everybody giving me a that-a-boy-Bruce pat on the back. This is about your life.”

“Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets. As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.”
