As part of an elaborate April Fool’s joke, the website asked some of its celebrities to participate in a video launching the search for the world’s best video.
The company claimed that YouTube is now “over” and it is “ready” to choose the winner from the eight years of entries. It will take 10 years to sift through all applicants and the big reveal will happen in 2023.
It was a good gag but the best part was seeing how grown-up Charlie and Harry Davies-Carr are.
And here’s a look at the original ‘Charlie bit my finger – again!’ video, which now has been viewed more than 519.5 million times. Go on, you know you want to.
