LAST NIGHT, PEOPLE all over the country tuned in to watch the final episode of Charlie. The episode featured crumbling sandcastles, expensive wine bills and lots of dodgy 80s looks.
There was one scene that had everyone talking, though, and that was when Charlie Haughey offered this guy a “small” ministry.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed and struggled with simple things like opening doors.
The scene ended with Haughey instructing P.J. Mara to “release this beast into the wild”.
First names weren’t used at all during the scene causing viewers to wonder who this “beast” of a politician was supposed to be.
We have the answer.
The part was played by actor Padraic McIntyre and the credits reveal that his character’s name was…
“TD No. 7″
Ah yes, that illustrious historical figure we all know and love.
Well, that’s that then.
