Here's the 'child benefit' tweet a Cork bar was forced to apologise over

THE BISHOPSTOWN BAR in Cork, like many other businesses, was watching the Budget carefully yesterday.
And following the news that child benefit would increase by €5, they tweeted this:

(It was spotted by Cork’s 96FM, who posted a screencap on their Facebook.)
The bar later deleted the tweet, and posted an apology.
There was some negative reaction on Twitter and Facebook.
One commenter on the 96FM Facebook page called it a “disgrace”, while another branded the tweet “insulting”.
However, some have suggested that the whole thing was a publicity stunt.
