Chocolate-covered crisps are now a reality in the US

We challenge you to read this without salivating.

IT IS A TRUTH universally known that combining chocolate and crisps together creates a foodstuff beyond compare.

Tayto attempted to sate our demands with the now-infamous Tayto chocolate bar, but it left most of us unsatisfied. The crisp-to-chocolate ratio was off. Way off.

An inspired Irish food blogger previously created her own chocolate-covered crisps, which proved that completely covering crisps with chocolate was the only way to go to get the taste sensation we sought so dearly.

But most of us are far too lazy to coat crisps with chocolate ourselves. Who do you think we are, Michelin-starred chefs?

American company Lays are now doing what we thought was impossible – selling chocolate-dipped crisps, in a packet, that you can purchase and eat at your leisure.

Mr Tayto, we beseech you – Irish people need chocolate-dipped crisps. As soon as possible.
