Salty and sweet - what's not to like? chocolate crisps via Shutterstock

The Burning Question*: If you have chocolate and crisps, which do you eat first?

Let TheJournal.ie distract you from the ‘serious’ news with one of life’s REAL dilemmas. (*not really)

WE KNOW HOW you feel. That brief reappearance of summer is fading away and it’s only Tuesday but it feels like you’ve been in work for days on end.

So do like we do here in TheJournal.ie HQ and get stuck into a serious debate on one of life’s most pressing issues.

Possibly.

This week: We had no idea this was such a pressing concern, but one of TheJournal.ie folks mused last week that when he has chocolate AND crisps at his disposal – and plans on eating them both – he never knows which to demolish first.

Let’s face it, the taste of chocolate and crisps together in one mouthful is the very flavour of an Irish childhood. (Possibly washed down with red lemonade).

But is there a set way to go about it? Vote here:

Poll Results:

C - Alternate mouthfuls of each (2823)
B - Crisps first, chocolate second (2441)
D - NEVER EAT THESE ITEMS IN THE SAME SITTING (1482)
A - Chocolate first, crisps second (1271)
