Star man Chris Hadfield tries his hand at hurling in Dublin
SOME FOREIGN SPORTS fans think you’d have to be a spacer to play hurling.
And today Colonel Chris Hadfield — the astronaut who charmed the country with his tweets as Gaeilge from the International Space Station — has tried his hand at the fastest field game on earth™.
The Canadian is in Ireland this week to take up a new role as a tourism ambassador for Ireland and this morning was shown how to hurl in Dublin. He may be able to sing David Bowie while in zero gravity but how is he under a high dropping ball?
