‘TIS THE SEASON for Christmas markets – but there aren’t that many that are set up in an actual airport hangar.
The Strandhill People’s Market opened for the season over the weekend in Hangar 1 of Sligo Airport.
And it’s a little winter wonderland in there
They’ve even made a video tour that shows just how Christmassy it is
And it’s been viewed over 10,000 times since Monday.
The market’s open every weekend in the run up to Christmas, and features over 60 food, art and craft stalls
This is the third year they’ve turned an airport hangar into a Christmas market – and it seems to be growing in popularity
Last Sunday, Santa himself flew into the airport for the kids, and the list of grub available would tempt you to just buy food presents for yourself:
paella, crepes, sushi, pizza, turkey & ham, salads, Indian, pulled pork
A Christmas market in a pretty unique spot
Flying it.
