LISTEN: Amazing hip-hop Christmas anthem by Irish kids

“I’m a better rapper than Santy.”

YOU MAY REMEMBER the kids of Scoil Íosagáin in Farranree, Co Cork – probably the finest nine-year-old rappers in Ireland.

Well, they’ve only gone and recorded a Christmas song about Santa. And they are KILLING it. Sample couplets:

There’s snowflakes in my cornflakes / And they’re making them soggy like a milkshake.

I rap so cool my rhymes are frozen / Flow so cold like a snowman’s nose, man.

Fourth class of Scoil Íosagáin, we salute you. Have a listen:

The tune (like this one) was made with the help of Irish rapper GMC, who’s been offering workshops to schools and youth centres. Hats off to him.
