Eh, a GoFundMe has been set up to get Conor McGregor's dad a Leap Card

It’s not what you think.

SO, YOU MIGHT have seen a video of Conor McGregor’s dad, Tony, doing the rounds on the internet over the weekend.

If you haven’t, here it is  in all of it’s glory.

Can’t see the video? Click here.

Let’s briefly set the scene – Tony gets the DART (which stands for Dublin Area Rapid Transport) one way. At Landsdowne road, he put a “crisp, €20 note” in to the machine.

He received €17.30 back in change – “coinage”, if you will.

For most, this would be mildly irritating, at worst inconveniencing. For Tony, however, this just would not do, as he was wearing a “slim fit Hugo Boss suit” at the time. Coinage just doesn’t fit in those kinds of pockets, guys!

Thankfully, the unwavering generosity of the Irish public. has triumphed once again.

Comedian Emma Doran’s set up a crowdfunding page for Tony to get him a Leap card, so that he doesn’t find himself “none too plussed” ever again.

Let’s get this money raised so Tony can get a leap card. Or we’ll have to get Aoife McGregor to give Dublin Area Rapid Transport a buzz.”

Poor Tony – must be hard when you’ve no room in your pockets for your son’s money. Talk about marginalisation, eh?
