THE MYSTERY MACHINE from Scooby Doo is indeed an iconic part of TV history.

But it wouldn’t be high on the list of Halloween costume ideas based on the sheer logistics of making it.

But Cian Murphy and his friends in Castletownbere, West Cork ignored such concerns and did just that

Cian tells DailyEdge.ie that the machine got the kudos it deserved in the town this weekend:

We got an amazing reaction. A restaurant emptied of people running out to the street to see us pass. We got a round of applause in the first bar we walked into.

In fairness, they had put some effort into it:

We spent the last two and a half weeks building it at night.

And yes, it moved, thanks to the busy feet of the drivers
