This little shop in Cork is going to great lengths to sell homemade ice cream sandwiches
THERE IS NOTHING better than a great big slab of vanilla ice cream between two wafers. Are we right, or are we right?
It’s a treat you usually only enjoy in the comfort of your own home, but this Cork shop by the sea is bringing the experience to its customers during this unusual bout of warm September weather.
Angela’s Shop, a much-loved coffee spot near Fountainstown Beach, stocks a small selection of homemade ice cream sandwiches in the freezer with the brand-name stuff.
Look at them there on their little tray:
Ooh yes. Big doorstoppers they are, too.
The ice creams were spotted by Rachel Cassidy, who told DailyEdge.ie that the corrugated iron shop is a “proper little time warp”.
Sounds good to us. Now, who else is craving a lovely ice cream sandwich…
