A MASSIVE BLIZZARD is on its way to the Northeast of the US with more than 6,000 flights cancelled.
A state of emergency has been declared and New York’s state Governor Andrew Cuomo said today it “could be a matter of life and death”. In this time of potential crisis, Americans have turned to one another for some comfort – through ads on Craigslist.
There are dozens of personal ads posted by singles on the site as they search for someone to cuddle (and the rest) with during the cold weather.
One ad from a man reads:
As we sit on the brink of a major snowstorm and prepare for a nearly shut-down NYC, I’m seeking a single 20- or 30-something female who shares my excitement for snow days and wants to create the semi-romantic, mildly productive yet equally fun adult version. I’m talking endless movies, cookies, whiskey and red wine, occasional work on a strictly as-needed basis, potential igloo-making in a private garden and making out.
And another from a lady says:
Bad weather doesn’t keep you inside either, right? Anyone want to do brunch? Looking for someone with long term potential, not interested in NSA encounter. Please attach recent photo. There’s been too many fellas who send pictures when they were 50 lbs lighter. Happy snow day!
(FYI, NSA = No Strings Attached)
Most of the ads are NSFW and you can peruse those ones at your own leisure but this one is very clean:
It’s nice to see people making the most of a difficult situation…
