A burglar was caught moonwalking on CCTV on RTÉ's Crimecall last night and it was so weird

Not-so-smooth criminal.

IF YOU EVER catch the monthly episode of Crimecall, it can be a harrowing watch.

Last night’s episode featured the standard array of crimes and appeals to the public, but one incident stuck out as being surreal given the circumstances.

During a burglary caught on CCTV last month, one of the perpetrators was seen freestyle dancing before entering the house

It was so weird that people immediately captured it to share online

The Garda in studio was flabbergasted:

This is actually when they’re trying to break in the rear door of the house – you can see one person there doing some sort of breakdance. It’s very unusual, in all my career in An Garda Síochána I’ve never seen anything like this.

Presenter Keelin Shanley saw a silver lining in the moves, though:

They’d be nervous breaking into a house you’d imagine? But somebody might recognise that – that might be his party piece, if you like?

The Garda’s assessment that it was “breakdancing” was called into question

There was a bit of moonwalking in there, surely
