Benedict Cumberbatch wears shorts at the National Television Awards

And the internet explodes.

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH IS a busy man these days, so he wasn’t able to be in London to accept his National Television Award for Best TV Detective.

Let’s ignore the fact that they created an entire award just for him (no offence to the other nominated detectives, but let’s be realistic here), and turn to his acceptance speech instead.
