Damien Dempsey sings funny words to Dirty Old Town on Australian TV
TRUE BLUE DUB Damien Dempsey stepped out of his comfort zone on Australian TV this week, adding a few unusual words to some famous Irish tunes.
Dempsey was appearing alongside Irish comedian Jason Byrne on music-themed comedy panel show Spicks and Specks when he was challenged to replace song words with phrases from a selection of publications.
First up was Dirty Old Town, which Dempsey had to slip words from Stylish Doggywear into.
In the words of Byrne, “Go for it Damo”.
