RTÉ HAVE REVEALED their full Dancing With the Stars line-up.

RTÉ announced last year they would be broadcasting an Irish version of the popular Strictly Come Dancing format, set to air in January.

With Des Bishop and soap stars Aoibhin Garrihy and Denise McCormack among the first to be announced over the weekend, eight more contestants have been added to the bill.

The full line-up includes:

• Celebrity doctor Eva Orsmond
• Sports commentator Des Cahill

• Kerry footballer Aidan O’Mahony (“Here’s to a couple of weeks of absolute carnage on the dance floor!”)
• Reporter Teresa Mannion
• Big Brother star Hughie Maughan

• Comedian Katherine Lynch
• Model Thalia Heffernan
• HomeTown’s Dayl Cronin
• Comedian Des Bishop
• Fair City and The Fall actress Aoibhin Garrihy
• Red Rock and Love/Hate actress Denise McCormack

Nicky Byrne and Amanda Byram were announced as hosts last week, and the ShinaAwil-produced show is set to air on RTÉ One for 12 weeks starting on Sunday the 8th of January at 6.30pm.

Each celebrity will be paired with a professional dancing partner and will be given a new dance to master each week.

They’ll then be scored by “an expert panel of judges and the viewing public at home”.

Bláthnaid Treacy is set to present the sister show on Friday nights, Can’t Stop Dancing.
