EVERYONE’S FAVOURITE GAA commentator Marty Morrissey will be taking to the dancefloor on the second season of Dancing With The Stars, it was revealed tonight.
(His rig out! The bedazzled pocket. We’re unable.)
Marty claims he doesn’t know how to dance, but we’re sure he’s just being modest:
It’s an opportunity of a lifetime to do something way outside my comfort zone, so here goes! I don’t really know how to dance, so to have the opportunity to learn is fantastic, and to be part of this great team is just super.
He’ll be the Des Cahill of the 2018 show, no doubt.
Comedians Bernard O’Shea and Deirdre O’Kane were previously announced as contestants earlier this week, along with author Maia Dunphy. Joining them will be…
Entrepreneur Norah Casey
From the Dragons’ Den to the glitz and glamour of Dancing With The Stars.
Fitness model Erin McGregor
If Erin’s name seems familiar, it’s because she’s the sister of a certain Conor McGregor.
Singer Jake Carter
And if Jake’s name seems familiar, it’s because the country musician has followed in his older brother Nathan Carter’s footsteps. That’s some jacket he has there.
Cork camogie captain Anna Geary
Fun fact: Along with being an All-Ireland winner, Anna is a former Rose of Tralee. Accomplished!
Former Munster rugby player Tomás O’Leary
Tomás was part of the team that clinched Ireland the 2009 Six Nations and Grand Slam.
Race walker Rob Heffernan
He has a bronze medal from the 2012 Olympics, but will Rob’s fast feet help him on the dancefloor?
And former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh
Wearing fancy frocks isn’t new to Aoife, but dancing in them? We’ll see.
There they all are now. Dancing With The Stars will kick off on Sunday, January 7, running for 12 whole weeks. We can’t wait.
