BREAK OUT THE Butterbeer. Daniel Radcliffe’s in town, and he’s reuniting with old pals.
Back in 2012, the Dublin minor football team ran into the Harry Potter actor (who was shooting a movie in Ireland at the time) while celebrating their All-Ireland win.
He went back to their house, drank cans, posed with the All-Ireland trophy, and immediately endeared himself to every person in the country.
Hup ya boya!
Last night, Daniel was back in Dublin to promote his new film, What If. And guess who he bumped into…
That’s right. And this time, they had a personalised Dublin jersey ready for him.
Be still our beating hearts.
Surely it’s not fair if Dublin have a wizard in their corner. This could end up going to the Disputes Resolution Authority branch of the GAA.
I rarely red thumb but that comment is the pits!
The Dubs are Magic! … (Sorry).
The Tom Markham Cup is now residing in County Mayo, Radcliffe will have to pop down through Knock if he wants to get reacquainted with it.
Or he could just come back to Dublin again in about 6 weeks.
We’ll just have to revisit that one in late September ! Remarkable how cocky some Dubs have gotten since they started winning.
Not half as cocky as mayo were this time last year.
Debatable. Anyway, I wouldn’t take the Donegal minor side for granted this year, as they were very impressive during their provincial campaign. Likewise, Kerry folk are very excited about their fellows, so I am looking forward to a rip-roaring set of semi-finals this year. Whatever way it pans out, it’s unlikely to be as lopsided as the quarters were this year, so I wouldn’t put the mortgage on any one of those four just yet…
More remarkable how any positive comment by a Dub is seen as cocky/arrogant whereas comments from other county supporters are only being positive or having a bit of banter!
Nah, I’d have said the same if say, a Donegal supporter had said that they are a shoo-in to win either the minor or senior All-Ireland this year. Can’t speak for others.
The All-Ireland champions and their followers will always face an element of hostility, that just the way the world works.
Hon the lads
Good man Daniel. Didn’t take you long http://www.joe.ie/gaa/off-the-pitch/breaking-daniel-radcliffe-leaves-dublin-to-join-up-with-mayo-for-all-ireland-tilt/
He’s obviously been studying the minor form book since last year ;)
